    On Jan. 2, 2019, Team TBG, with The Baldwin Group Inc. as prime contractor, signed an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Professional and Technical (ProTech) Services Oceans Domain. The two-year contract has three one-year options.

    Team TBG will provide support, strategy and innovative solutions to advance the mission of NOAA’s National Ocean Service (NOS). ProTech Oceans enables the NOS to acquire geospatial mapping and scientific data collection; create partnerships to define science-based solutions; and address economic, environmental and social pressures concerning U.S. oceans and coasts.

    TBG 2.0 began with the appointment of cofounder Ch. Madeline Tom as the CEO of TBG. Now with Ch. Tom as the majority stockholder, TBG 2.0 begins 2019 as a Woman-Owned Small Business. Ch. Tom was instrumental in leading the application and win for the SBA 8(a), GSA MOBIS, and supported the GSA 899 Environmental Services certifications. Since TBG’s incorporation in 1994, she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. In that capacity, she was responsible for the supervision of the Human Resources function and its compliance to TBG’s policies and procedures; personnel recruitment and retention; employee training; design of employee benefits and compensation. With degrees in business and education, she served as banking liaison for TBG and assisted in cost controls, fiscal planning and financial management. Ch. Tom continues as an ordained Chaplain with the International Fellowship of Chaplains.

    TBG was awarded an IDIQ contract with DOC, NOS, NOAA ProTech Oceans Domain as the Prime Contractor.

  • 2017

    TBG has won a subcontract with a large business to provide Management, Organizational, and Business Improvement Services to the NOAA Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) of the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Line Office. Support on this effort includes Project Management, Strategic Planning, Communications, Education and Training, Legislative, Data Management, and Information Technology services.

    Attained the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Maturity Level 2 (ML2).

    TBG CEO Dr. Baldwin H. Tom was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants USA.

    Awarded NOAA National Climatic Data Center, Advisory and Assistance contract and joined the Cyberdata and Think Tank NOAALink teams and the NOAA SciTech team.

    TBG Senior VP and Chief Administrative Officer Madeline Tom was ordained Senior Chaplain by the International Fellowship of Chaplains and began service as a Corporate Chaplain with TBG.
